Welcome to Cedar Class!

Teacher: Shari DeVille-

My name is Shari DeVille (aka Miss Shari). I have been a CMP parent since 2008, and a staff member since 2010. I have worked with all grade levels, but hold a special place in my heart for our little K/1 learners! My goal is to foster an environment where each child feels safe, valued, and engaged. I have a Bachelor’s degree in English, a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, and my Montessori Early Childhood and Elementary 1 certificates. My husband Tony and I have four children who are all CMP graduates. When I am not teaching, I love taking walks around my neighborhood, going to the movies, and spending time with my family.

My name is Brittany Akinaka (Ms. Brittany). I recently transferred from the CMP Orangevale campus, where I previously worked for since 2011. I have held a variety of positions within CMP, but for the majority of my career I have been a 2nd and 3rd grade teacher. I attended Sacramento State for my undergraduate and Fresno State for my teaching credential. Not only do I teach, but I enjoy supporting new teachers as a mentor. I grew up locally and currently live in Cameron Park. My husband Seth and I have two children, Claire and Bennett. In my free time I enjoy sipping coffee, listening to audiobooks, and spending time with my family.

T.A.- Jennifer Correia-

My name is Jenn Correia (Miss Jenn) and I am the Teaching Assistant (TA) on our Cedar Teaching Team. My role in the class is to assist our teachers and coordinate the reading program. I started at CMP Shingle Springs in 2021 as a substitute, where I had the opportunity to work in several different classrooms. K/1 was my favorite age group to work with, and I am very excited to be part of the Cedar team! I have a Bachelor's Degree from Cal Poly SLO, and my first career was in banking. I recently completed my Montessori Assistant Training, and I am passionate about Montessori education and all it has to offer. My family lives in Placerville and I have two children who attend CMP Shingle Springs. In my free time I enjoy reading, hiking, camping and kayaking.
